The Fenix PD35 TAC flashlight can be compared to another Fenix model, the TK16, as well as the ThruNite TN12 2016 model. The TK16 has a higher beam range at 240 meters, but it is a bit heavier than the PD35 TAC at 4.3 ounces.
The lumen levels on each light mode are lower on all but the Turbo level, and it has no Eco mode, which is useful for reading maps or books in the dark without straining the eyes. The ThruNite TN12 has a higher Turbo level at 1050 lumens, but the other levels are all less than the PD35’s.
All three are great lights, with spectacular reviews, but the Fenix PD35 Tac is the only one that offers the unique Tactical mode, which is especially handy for those who need a flashlight for professional purposes.
I almost forgot to mention the Streamlight Protac HL3, it has a great output of 1100 lumens but comes in quite heavy at just over 9 ounces, with batteries. Checkout my comparisons of top flashlights, for even more light options.
